Inspired by Pratyahara
Sensory Immersion Sessions
Step into a realm of heightened awareness and inner connection with our "Sensory Immersion Sessions" yoga class.
Rooted in the essence of yoga's fifth limb, Pratyahara, or the withdrawal of the senses, this unique experience invites you to explore the depths of your senses and inner wisdom.
Begin with a grounding meditation, flowing seamlessly into gentle movement accessible for beginners and anyone working through mobility issues.
As the journey unfolds, immerse yourself deeper by embracing the silence with earplugs and darkness with eye masks, allowing your focus to turn inward. Conclude in a state of profound relaxation during savasana, followed by a brief gratitude meditation to seal the practice.
Tune in to the language of the body, rediscover your inner voice and buried wisdom, and embrace the journey of self-rediscovery as we tune out the external world.
It's not a workout; it's a work in.
What to expect- a slow flow vinyasa with modifications and prop use infused with somatic exercises. It is gentle and easy on the body. We add the use of ear plugs and then eye masks (once we are comfortable during the session to withdraw from the external distractions.
What to bring- If you have your own mat, blanket, or any preferred props, feel free to bring them along to enhance your experience. While we do provide a limited quantity of mats and props, having your own ensures your comfort and convenience. Additionally, we recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the session.
